Authenticity Challenge Start Discussion

The world needs more authentic people. Those who live boldly as their true selves, even when others don't like it. Authentic people do not pretend to be something they are not. They are real, honest but kind, and they learn over time not to fear the opinions of others.

My e-book, Authentic=Happy, is about my journey to authenticity. It details the five steps I took to get from people-pleasing to staking out the ground of my own personality in order to stand firm in who I am.

Are you willing to participate in the Authenticity Challenge? Personal growth is achieved in small steps. It doesn't happen overnight. We challenge ourselves day by day to be true to who we are, offering forgiveness when we miss the mark. Will you take this challenge with me?

The challenge is made up of 3 steps:

1. Accept it. Decide to become more authentically yourself, starting today.

2. Read the book. It's short and easy to put into practice right away.

3. Share your story here. Boldly interact with others on their authenticity journey.

Just imagine how this world could be if we were all living as our authentic selves, without our elaborate disguises. We would be happier people. We would be free from living as other people expect us to. We would be genuinely ourselves, and that is the change we wish to see in the world.

For more information, please watch this 25 minute interview with bestselling author Remy Chausse on my five steps to living as your authentic self in the world.

I also highly recommend this inspiring 20 minute TED Talk by Brene Brown on the power of authenticity and vulnerability.

Will you take the Authenticity Challenge?  I look forward to hearing your story!
